Joshua Royal

A graduate of the White Lodge, Ballet Central and the Rock School, Joshua was a semi finalist Young British Dancer while at the Royal Ballet School. His versatility has developed whilst working with the Royal Ballet, English National Ballet, Miami City Ballet, Vienna Festival Ballet and MurleyDance. He was an original collaborator in the cast of To The Edge and created the lead role of Gus in Briar Adams’ The Marks We Leave, based on John Green’s novel The Fault in Our Stars.

Joshua has always expressed a deep desire to be a role model for boys and for dancers from a non white background, and his motivation to give back to the community is inspired by his own experiences of bullying and discrimination. Joshua is committed to excellence, delivers captivating and characterful performances and is keen to expand his contribution to the increasingly diverse and inclusive world of dance. He teaches regular inclusive ballet classes for all ages in South London.
