In this twelve week course you will focus intensively on contemporary ballet technique, building muscle strength in your hips, legs and back, and coordination to create beautiful lines and amazing flow and release in your movement. This course builds on the basic principles of classical ballet and contemporary techniques including Cunningham, Horton and Release developed by the great contemporary choreographers of the 20th century.
The anatomical placement of the equal weight method is incorporated with the style and placement evolved from Cecchetti and Vaganova schools of classical ballet to give you a solid technique that allows you to respond effortlessly to any choreographic combinations, moving expansively and with new found freedom.
Throughout the course you will build and perfect an original piece of group choreography and have the option to perform as part of a short film.
